PETULA CLARK STARRING IN EXCLUSIVE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ENGAGEMENT AT LA MIRADA THEATRE

 

LA MIRADA, Calif., February 9, 2005 -- La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts presents a Southern California Exclusive Engagement starring Petula Clark, 8 p.m., March 4 and 2:30 p.m., March 5 as part of the theatre's "March Madness" series of six special events complementing the theatre's Broadway season.

 

Clark is Britain's most successful solo performer of the 20th Century. Embracing every aspect of show business from critically acclaimed theatrical performances to sell-out concerts around the world, Clark virtually defined the term "International Superstar," appearing in over 30 films, hundreds of TV shows, on dozens of theatre stages and countless concert venues. She has recorded more than 1000 songs, "Downtown" and "I Know a Place" among them, and sold more than 68 million records. Clark's impressive stage credits include her Broadway debut in "Blood Brothers"and a tour of the U.S. as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Sunset Blvd."
